Olga, Anita and I headed to Belgium for a weekend in October to feast on chocolate - yum! We boarded the Eurostar and before we knew it we were in Brussels - I love Europe!!! Unfortunately I was sick with the flu the whole weekend but that didn't stop me (although did limit my chocolate tasting) :)We spent the saturday exploring Brussels and visiting the chocolate museum (I wouldn't recommend the museum if you ever visit - you get free tastings at most of the chocolate shops along with seeing them make it). Brussels is a pretty little town but not a lot there except for the main square and all the chocolate shops (which are every where).
Then on the Sunday we caught the local train to Bruge for the day before heading back to London that evening. Bruge is very pretty!!! Once again lots more chocolate and Bruge also has a canal system so we went for a boat ride around the canals. We also visited the frites museum (fries) - not so exciting and we didn't even get free tastings.
