OK, I made it safely back to London after my first ever skiing trip and it was AWESOME!!! I can't wait to go again. There were no broken bones... but yes quite a lot of aches and pains and bruises but it was all well worth it. There was lots of snow and nice sunny weather so the best of both worlds really.
I am definitely not a natural skiier, and after my first day of lessons I didn't think I would ever be able to ski... but after a few (actually I think it was alot) of Jagermeisters that evening to numb my body's pain I actually did quite well on day 2. AND I loved the fact that I didn't get hangovers (just lack of sleep). So my skiing skills progressed well... so well in fact that I came 2nd in the female beginners ski sprint on the thursday and won myself a trophy... from which I ate snow cones from on the way home from the pub early the following morning :) In addition to mastering my ski skills we had fondu one night, bob sledding (think Cool Runnings), tobogganing, ate lots of yummy strudels, karaoke (very bad!), made snow angels and had lots of snow ball fights. All in all it was lots of fun. Now time to plan my next trip!
Sorry for the late blog but hope everyone is well!
xxx Lou
